Description

Amina was an Hausa muslim woman warrior she was known as the “Warrior Queen” she is from Zaria in Kaduna state northern part of Nigeria formerly known as Zazzua, Amina is also been referred to as “Queen of Zaria” she was never married nor bore any children.
Queen Amina reigns between 1576-1610 even at the point of male-dominated society  Queen Amina expanded  the territory of the Hausa people of the Northern Africa to its largest border in history.
Zaria was popularly known for a place where matrillineal equaity allowed women to inherit rules as well as men.

Queen Amina forth and won many wars against the oppression in Zaria, she built fortress walls which enclosed military encampment that were so strong and many of the walls are still standing till date.
The story of Queen Amina, is similar to the movie titled “Woman King”
